Illyrian Gems' approach to jewellery packaging, branding and sustainability
As soon as I started Illyrian Gems I was on a lookout for beautiful and sustainable jewellery boxes and was lucky to have found a supplier that ticked all the boxes.
Our jewellery boxes are eco-friendly - but what does that mean?
The FSC Logo found on the back of the boxes is the world’s most trusted mark for sustainable forestry.
Products that hold this label are helping forests and people who rely on them by supporting:
Zero deforestation
Fair wage and work environment
Change from preservation to conservation
Community rights
The above relates to our boxes (paper & cardboard), but the ribbon is eco friendly as well, since it’s made from recycled plastic (rPET).
Along with this, we are also making a commintment to use paper any time it’s possible over plastic, and to also make sure the paper comes from sustainable sources or that it’s recycled.
Therefor, all orders are shipped either in cardboard courier bags or cardboard boxes from local suppliers.
If orders are packed in boxes I will also add tissue paper and shredded paper to protect the packaging but also to add a touch of personality and for the buyer to enjoy the unboxing experience.
A big role in this play all my branded items and I was lucky to have participated in a collaboration with an awesome brand Stickerdot who created stickers with my logo to help me further elevate my brands personality.
They ticked all the boxes, made the process of creating the labels so seamless and the shipping was super quick as well. They are committed to helping Kiwi businesses up their game and elevate their brands.
I am feeling very proud to show you how the packaging looks like now, and as you can see, my new branded stickers are making an impression!
